What is the difference between Keto and Atkins Diet?

Atkins Diet;
While the Atkins diet does encourage an intake of fats compared to other diets it doesn’t have as strict requirements, for fat consumption as the keto diet. The amount of fat you consume can vary depending on the phase of the Atkins diet you are following.
Protein Intake;
On the keto diet protein intake is considered moderate. Usually makes up around 15-25% of your calorie intake. However on the Atkins diet there is flexibility when it comes to protein intake in the later phases. Protein consumption can vary based on preferences and which phase of the diet you are in.

The main objective of the keto diet is to achieve and sustain a state called ketosis. This state occurs when your body produces and uses ketones, as its source of energy instead of relying on carbohydrates.
Atkins Diet; While the Atkins diet may lead to ketosis, it’s important to note that achieving ketosis is not the objective of this diet. The primary focus of the Atkins diet revolves around managing carbohydrate intake. Gradually reintroducing them into your eating plan.
